Viking VK-SR-IP SIP Loud Ringer with Visual Ring

SKU CH-XSE0-WFTRQ

A PoE-powered SIP loud ringer delivering 93 dB SPL at one metre with visual ring indication, four programmable patterns, automatic gain control and 2 A relay contacts for strobe lights.

  • Loud 93 dB ring cuts through noisy environments
  • Visual ring indicator suits quiet areas and hearing-impaired users
  • Four programmable ring patterns match different call types
  • Automatic gain control adjusts volume to background noise
  • Relay contacts drive external strobe lights for added alerting

Purpose and environment

The Viking VK-SR-IP is a SIP-compliant audio device designed to deliver loud ring alerts and visual ring indication for VoIP phone systems. It suits noisy or variable-noise environments where standard handset ringers are insufficient, while the visual indicator supports quiet areas requiring silent notification.

Programmable behaviour and accessories

Four programmable ring patterns let administrators match cadence to site requirements. Automatic Gain Control adjusts output volume in response to ambient background noise. A 2 Amp relay contact enables direct control of compatible LPL-1 or SL-2 strobe lights for enhanced visual signalling.

Installation and common issues

Power is supplied through Class 2 PoE, removing the need for a separate mains adapter and simplifying cabling to a single Ethernet drop. Configuration is handled through the SIP interface using supported G.711u, G.711a and G.722 codecs. Buyers who require analogue paging outputs or multicast audio streaming will find those functions absent.

Questions about this item

How often will the VK-SR-IP need maintenance or replacement parts under normal use?

The VK-SR-IP is a solid-state PoE device with no moving parts or consumable components listed, so no scheduled maintenance or replacement parts are required during its operational life.

What limits the VK-SR-IP first when it rings continuously in a noisy environment?

The Automatic Gain Control automatically raises output up to the 93 dB SPL ceiling at one metre; once ambient noise pushes the ringer to that maximum, volume can no longer increase.

How much heat and power does the VK-SR-IP produce when powered by PoE all day?

It draws Class 2 PoE power only, so heat output is minimal and well within standard Ethernet cable limits for continuous operation.
