A dual-monitor KVM switch sharing two computers across two 4K@60 Hz displays with USB 3.0 peripherals and 3.5 mm audio
This HDMI KVM switch lets one keyboard, one mouse and two monitors control two separate computers. Each system must already support dual-display output; if a computer has only a single HDMI port you will need a suitable converter or conversion cable to provide the second video connection. The unit copies or extends the desktop across both screens. USB 3.0 hub ports share peripherals such as printers, scanners, webcams or storage drives between the two hosts.
Passive operation means no fans and no audible noise in normal use. The switch draws its operating power from the connected computers over the HDMI and USB links, so no external power adapter is required and there is no additional heat contribution to the desk environment. USB 3.0 ports deliver up to 5 Gb/s bandwidth for attached devices while the HDMI 2.0 paths handle video without active signal conditioning.
Under continuous dual-monitor 4K 60 Hz RGB 4:4:4 traffic the HDMI 2.0 links maintain full bandwidth without compression or frame drops. HDCP 2.3 handshake remains stable during extended sessions and the 3.5 mm audio jack passes PCM/LPCM output without interruption. Hot-key switching stays responsive even after prolonged uptime and the USB 3.0 hub continues to serve high-speed peripherals without throttling.

Plug each computer into both HDMI inputs and one USB 3.0 upstream port, then attach monitors to the two HDMI outputs. The step often missed is enabling dual-display output in each computer's graphics settings before switching.
The HDMI 2.0 input and output ports see the most insertions, so their connectors wear first. USB 3.0 hub ports and the 3.5 mm audio jack follow if cables are swapped daily.
The switch is rated for 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at 144 Hz. Pushing beyond 4K 60 Hz or exceeding the HDMI 2.0 bandwidth ceiling causes signal drop-outs first.
