Who this thermometer serves

The Viproud ear thermometer is a digital infrared device for home use with infants, children and adults. It measures body temperature in one second and also offers an object mode for room or surface checks. The dark black finish and included pouch make it practical for travel or bedside storage.

Installing and common pitfalls

The unit ships with two AA batteries already fitted and 21 disposable lens filters plus one pre-installed cap. A hygiene cap ejector removes used covers without contact, but the probe must be clean and a fresh filter seated for each reading. Incorrect results usually come from a missing or dirty filter or from not following the age-group selection steps.

Behaviour during repeated use

Accuracy is quoted at ± .2 °C or ± .4 °F and the thermometer stores the last 30 readings for trend tracking. A mute mode silences the beep for sleeping children and the display uses three colour bands for quick fever assessment. Auto shutdown after 30 seconds of inactivity preserves battery life across multiple daily checks.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the ear thermometer is giving correct readings after I start using it?

The device is tested for a deviation of only +/- 0.2°C or +/- 0.4°F. Select the appropriate age group, attach a fresh lens filter, and take a measurement; the colour-coded display will indicate the temperature range immediately.

What accessories are included and is there anything I need to purchase separately to begin using it?

The box contains the thermometer, 21 disposable lens filters, 2 AA batteries, a carrying pouch, an instruction manual and a quick user guide. Standard disposable hygiene caps on the market will work when the supplied filters run out.

Which version should I choose if I need a thermometer that works for infants, adults and object temperatures?

This single Dark Black model covers all three age groups and includes an object temperature mode for room or surface readings, so no additional version selection is required.
