42 inch Electric Fireplace with Adjustable Flame

The Vitesse 42 inch Electric Fireplace provides supplemental heat at 750 or 1500 Watts and offers a flame-only mode for year-round ambience. Twelve flame colours and five speed settings are controlled via touch panel or remote. It suits homeowners who want a slim linear heater that can be recessed or wall mounted.

Check Electrical Supply and Wall Structure

Verify that a dedicated circuit can handle the 1500 Watt maximum draw before ordering. For recessed installation confirm the wall cavity depth accommodates the 3.2 inch thickness. Ensure the mounting surface can support the unit weight and that clearances to combustible materials meet the ETL certified requirements.

Fits Recessed or Surface Mounted Builds

The slim profile frees floor space and suits tight rooms where a traditional hearth is impractical. Flame-only operation lets you enjoy the visual effect without heating in warmer months. Auto heat-kill safety protects against overheating during extended use. Buyers needing a built-in log set or gas connection should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 42 inch fireplace include the remote control and mounting hardware, or must I buy them separately?

The package includes the remote control for flame and heat settings, plus all brackets needed for recessed, semi-recessed or wall-mounted installation.

Should I run the 750 W or 1500 W setting for a typical living room?

Choose 750 W for supplemental warmth in smaller spaces or milder days; switch to 1500 W when you need faster heat output in larger rooms.

What does the 3.2 inch depth mean once the unit is recessed in a standard wall?

At 3.2 inches thick the fireplace sits almost flush with 2×4 framing, leaving minimal protrusion into the room.
