Built for large breeds

The Vitesse 48 inch Heavy Duty Dog Crate is a new 20-gauge steel enclosure measuring 47.2"L x 30.7"W x 36.0"H. It is designed for German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Labradors and other large dogs. The reinforced 0.5-inch-diameter tubes and strong joint welds create an indestructible structure for high anxiety pets.

Fits home layouts with mobility

Four lockable casters allow the crate to be moved between rooms and then secured in place. A slide-out tray beneath the floor grate simplifies waste removal without lifting the heavy frame. Dual doors on the front and top provide flexible access for feeding, cleaning or interacting with the dog.

Withstands sustained escape attempts

The rust-resistant, non-toxic finish protects the steel during long-term indoor use. Dual latches on the front door resist persistent manipulation from anxious animals. The grate spacing supports the dog's weight while allowing debris to fall through, maintaining structural integrity under daily pressure.

Questions about this item

What is the first limit that shows up when a large dog uses the 20-gauge steel crate with .5-inch tubes all day?

The dual latches on the front door and the lockable casters are the primary escape-prevention points; sustained pressure from a high-anxiety dog tests those latches and wheel locks before the welded steel tubes or joints do.

How much noise, heat or power does the crate produce when it sits in one room continuously?

The crate has no motor, electronics or heating element, so it generates no noise, no heat and draws no power while in use.

What must I already own for the slide-out tray and floor grate to work as intended?

You need a level indoor floor area at least 47.2 inches long by 30.7 inches wide so the four lockable casters sit flat and the tray can slide out without obstruction.
