Vivitar Four Thirds Macro Zoom

The Vivitar 12-50mm lens is built for the Micro Four Thirds system and covers an ultra-wide to normal focal range with macro capability. Auto focus operation makes it straightforward for photographers who want close-up detail and wider scenes from a single optic. It suits users working with Four Thirds mount cameras who need versatile framing options.

CPL Filter and Adapter Ring Included

The bundled CPL polarizing filter cuts glare and reflections while boosting colour saturation and contrast in outdoor or reflective scenes. A 4752mm adapter ring is also supplied, allowing the lens and filter to attach to the designated device. These accessories extend creative control without requiring separate purchases.

12-50mm Focal Range Decides Fit

The 12mm to 50mm zoom span determines whether this lens matches the desired field of view and working distance for macro and wide-angle subjects. No image stabilization is present, so steady technique or support is needed at slower shutter speeds. Buyers needing a longer telephoto reach or built-in stabilization should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the front filter thread on the 12-50 mm Four Thirds lens accept the 4752 mm adapter ring included in the kit?

The 4752 mm adapter ring is sized for the phone-lens kit and does not match the Four Thirds mount of this 12-50 mm lens, so it cannot be used as a replacement filter thread.

At 50 mm focal length, does the Four Thirds sensor crop or the lack of image stabilization limit handheld sharpness first?

Without image stabilization the 50 mm setting on a Four Thirds body is most limited by camera shake at slow shutter speeds, not by the sensor crop factor.

How much heat or noise does the auto-focus motor generate during all-day macro shooting?

The lens has no cooling fan and its auto-focus motor runs silently; extended macro use produces negligible heat and no audible noise.
