Wide-Angle Conversion for 40.5mm Threads

This .43x wide-angle converter attaches to the front of any lens with a 40.5mm filter thread. It multiplies the host lens focal length by 0.43, roughly doubling the angle of view for expansive scenic, architectural and group shots without changing position.

Consistent Optical Performance

Multi-coated all-glass elements are designed to maintain image transmission and minimise distortion across the frame. The titanium barrel provides rigid alignment so corner-to-corner sharpness and flare resistance remain stable during extended shooting sessions rather than degrading as the lens heats up.

40.5mm Filter Thread Compatibility

The converter only fits lenses or camcorders that present a 40.5mm front thread; other thread sizes require a separate stepping ring which is not included. Buyers whose lenses use a different diameter cannot mount this converter directly.

Questions about this item

Does the all-titanium barrel and multi-coated glass generate noticeable heat during long shooting sessions?

No, this is a passive optical converter with no electronics, so it produces no heat and draws no power during use.

My camera has a 40.5mm filter thread — will the 58mm-threaded converter fit directly?

No, the converter requires a 58mm thread; you need a 40.5mm-to-58mm stepping ring to attach it to your lens.

Will the .43x converter vignette on my Pentax Q 01 8.5mm f/1.9 lens?

The converter is listed for the Q 01 8.5mm f/1.9, so it is designed to cover that lens without vignetting.
