Modesty Panel for Desk Privacy

The VIVO Black Laminate Modesty Panel attaches beneath a desk to provide privacy, conceal cables, and create a finished look for a workstation. It suits office workers and home users who want a cleaner appearance and organized routing for AV cords, ethernet wires, and power strips.

Installation Constraints and Gaps

The panel mounts in three positions: protruded with a 1.79 front gap, flush with a .1 gap, or inset with a 1.55 back gap. A minimum desktop thickness of .75 is required, and the steel brackets offer three height settings at .9 above, .55 below, or 2.0 below the desktop bottom, though the top setting is unavailable when inset.

Weight Limit Determines Load

The assembly supports a maximum weight capacity of 22 lbs across the 59 x 11.8 particle board and laminate surface. This limit governs how many power strips, surge protectors, or bundled cables the six included Velcro straps can safely hold without risking structural failure.

Questions about this item

How do I choose between the protruded, flush, and inset mounting positions?

Protruded leaves a 1.79 front gap, flush leaves a .1 gap, and inset leaves a 1.55 back gap; pick the one that matches your legroom and cable-routing preference.

What does the 22 lbs weight capacity mean once the panel is mounted under my desk?

The panel, its brackets, and any cables secured by the six Velcro straps must not exceed 22 lbs total load on the desktop.

What desktop thickness does the mounting bracket require, and how does the .6 panel thickness affect the fit?

The bracket needs a minimum .75 desktop thickness; the .6 panel then sits .9 above, .55 below, or 2.0 below the desktop bottom depending on the chosen height setting.
