Retrofit Footrest for 2-Inch Gas Cylinders

This VIVO footrest clamps onto a chair support structure that uses a 2-inch gas cylinder, integrating with an existing office chair without replacing it. A 23-by-14-inch thick cushion provides a stable platform rated for 242 lbs. The steel and plastic frame adds mobility through two 1.9-inch casters that roll on various floor types. It suits users who want to elevate their feet or sit cross-legged at a desk.

Sustained Daily Use with Pin-Locked Length

Eleven pin-locked length settings from 15.5 to 26.5 inches keep the cushion at a fixed distance from the chair during long sessions, preventing gradual drift. Height adjusts continuously between 15.8 and 21.8 inches via a side lever, allowing posture changes without tools. The steel support frame and casters maintain stability when weight is applied repeatedly throughout the day. The cushion dimensions of 23 by 14 by 2.4 inches distribute pressure evenly.

Limits of the 2-Inch Cylinder Clamp and Travel Range

The clamp fits only 2-inch gas cylinders, so chairs with different cylinder diameters cannot use this footrest. Length adjustment stops at 26.5 inches, restricting how far the platform can extend for taller users or wider desks. Height range tops out at 21.8 inches, which may not align with every seat height. Casters measure 1.9 inches, limiting roll performance on thick carpet or uneven transitions.

Questions about this item

Does the footrest generate any noise or heat when used all day?

The footrest has no motor or electronics, so it produces no heat and runs silently on its 1.9-inch casters.

What must my chair already have for this footrest to attach?

Your chair needs a standard 2-inch gas cylinder; the clamp only fits that diameter.

Will the 242 lb capacity and 11 pin-lock length settings work with my older steel-frame chair?

Yes, the 242 lb limit and 11 length positions from 15.5 to 26.5 inches are independent of chair age as long as the cylinder is 2 inches.
