6W Type-C Solar Panel for Outdoor Cameras

This 6W solar panel supplies continuous power to compatible outdoor security cameras that have a rechargeable battery and a USB Type-C charging port. The IP66 waterproof rating and 9.85ft cable allow permanent outdoor mounting in any weather. A 360° adjustable bracket lets you angle the panel for maximum sunlight exposure. The package contains only the solar panel and mounting accessories, not a camera.

Check Camera Compatibility Before Ordering

Verify that your camera uses a rechargeable battery and charges exclusively through a USB Type-C port. The panel does not support cameras powered by disposable dry batteries or proprietary long-life battery packs. Confirm the camera operates on a 5V input, as the panel delivers up to 6W at that voltage. No camera is included, so this purchase only makes sense if you already own a matching device.

Upgrades Wired or Manual Charging Setups

The panel replaces the need to run mains power cables to the camera location or to climb a ladder for frequent battery recharges. The jump is worth it when the mounting site receives several hours of direct sun each day and the camera stays within 9.85ft of the panel. It does not suit installations that require longer cable runs or cameras without Type-C rechargeable batteries.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a camera separately?

The package contains the 6W solar panel, a 9.85ft cable, a 360° adjustable bracket and all mounting accessories. A compatible Type-C rechargeable battery camera is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which version should I choose if my camera uses a Type-C port and a rechargeable battery?

This single VZ-SP model delivers up to 6W through its Type-C connector and is designed only for outdoor security cameras that have a rechargeable battery and a Type-C charging port. It will not work with disposable-battery or non-Type-C cameras.

What does the 6W rating mean once the panel is mounted on my camera?

In full sun the panel can supply up to 6W of charging power, letting the camera run continuously without needing to climb a ladder for manual recharges. Actual output varies with sunlight angle, weather and the 360° bracket orientation.
