65 W USB-C charger for ThinkPad and Yoga

This 65 W USB-C power adapter targets owners of Lenovo ThinkPad T, E, L, P, X and X1 series laptops plus Yoga and Chromebook models that accept USB-C PD input. It replaces a lost or damaged original supply and serves as a spare for travel or desk use. The unit negotiates the correct voltage automatically so the connected device receives only what it supports.

Output steps from 5 V to 20 V with 65 W ceiling

The adapter delivers 65 W at 20 V and 3.25 A, then steps down through 18 V at 2.5 A, 15 V at 3 A, 12 V at 3 A, 9 V at 3 A and 5 V at 3 A. Devices that request 45 W or less draw the lower profiles without issue. A laptop requiring more than 65 W will not reach its maximum charge rate and may drain under heavy load.

Bundled AC cable completes the connection

The package includes one 65 W AC adapter and one detachable AC power cable. The cable plugs into any 100–240 V mains outlet and locks into the adapter body, removing the need for a separate cord. No additional software, drivers or accessories are supplied.

Questions about this item

Will the 65W USB-C charger work with my older ThinkPad T470 that originally used a 45W slim-tip adapter?

Yes, the adapter automatically negotiates 20V-3.25A, 15V-3A, 12V-3A, 9V-3A or 5V-3A over USB-C PD 3.0, so it safely delivers the 45W your T470 expects while also supporting newer 65W models.

How can I confirm the charger is delivering the correct voltage to my Yoga 7i after plugging it in?

The USB-C PD 3.0 handshake selects the proper profile — 20V, 18V, 15V, 12V, 9V or 5V — and the laptop’s battery indicator will show charging at the negotiated wattage, confirming correct operation.

Does the package include both the 65W AC adapter and a mains cable, or must I buy the cable separately?

The box contains one 65W AC adapter and one AC power cable, so no separate cable purchase is required.
