Adds ten SATA III ports over a single PCIe 3.0 x1 lane using a JMB582 controller with hot-plug support and 850 MB/s peak throughput
The Vszerda SY-PEX40167 adds ten 6Gb/s SATA III connections through a single PCIe 3.0 x1 lane using the Micron JMB582 chipset. It is built for storage-heavy workstations, NAS builds or media servers that need many mechanical or solid-state drives without occupying multiple expansion slots. AHCI compliance ensures broad operating-system support from Windows XP through Windows 10, macOS and Linux without driver installation.
A low-profile bracket is included so the card fits slim chassis or standard-height cases alike. Port Multiplier capability lets each connector address multiple drives through an enclosure or backplane, while hot-plug and hot-swap support allow drives to be added or removed without powering down. Staggered spin-up and SATA Partial and Slumber power states reduce peak current draw and idle consumption across large arrays.
This card replaces motherboard SATA ports when the onboard count is insufficient or when a platform lacks native 6Gb/s support. It upgrades a system limited to four or six drives by delivering ten ports with up to 850 MB/s sequential throughput. The jump is worth it when you need independent AHCI drives for ZFS, software RAID or direct passthrough to virtual machines rather than a hardware RAID controller.

The x1 lane caps total throughput at roughly 850 MB/s across all ten ports.
A low-profile bracket is included; it fits a standard PCIe x1 slot in low-profile or full-height chassis.
Seat the card in a PCIe x1 slot, attach SATA cables, and enable AHCI in BIOS so all ten ports appear.
