  • USB-C female port accepts modern chargers
  • Square tip connector fits legacy ThinkPad DC jack
  • Compact cable design keeps desk tidy

100W USB-C to Square Tip Adapter

This adapter connects a USB-C power source to a ThinkPad with a square tip DC connector. It supports 100W power delivery for compatible laptops. It is intended for users who want to charge a ThinkPad using a modern USB-C charger or power bank.

Limits of USB-C PD and Connector Fit

The adapter only works when the USB-C source negotiates the required voltage and current up to 100W. It cannot charge from sources that lack Power Delivery support or cannot supply the laptop's needed voltage. The square tip must match the ThinkPad's specific DC jack size; it will not fit barrel or slim tip connectors.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 100 W version for my ThinkPad?

The adapter supports up to 100 W Power Delivery, so it can handle any ThinkPad that charges at or below that rating.

Will the 100 W rating actually reach my laptop through the square tip?

Yes — the converter passes the full 100 W PD negotiation from the USB-C source to the proprietary square-tip input on the ThinkPad.
