Adds a 2.5 GbE port over PCIe 3.1 with an Intel I225-V controller and includes a Cat8 cable and low-profile bracket
This Vszerda network adapter adds a single 2.5GbE RJ45 port to a desktop or workstation through a PCI Express 3.1 x1 slot. It is built around the Intel I225-V controller and includes a low-profile bracket for small-form-factor cases. A 3ft Cat8 cable is supplied in the box.
The card supports 2500, 1000, 100 and 10 Mbps links with auto-negotiation and works with Windows 10, Windows 11, Linux, ESXi 7.0, OpenWrt, Unraid and Proxmox VE. It is not for buyers who need fibre SFP ports, multiple Ethernet ports or 10GbE speeds from a single slot.
The Intel I225-V PHY delivers up to 2.5 Gbps over standard copper cabling using the IEEE 802.3bz standard. The x1 lane width fits any PCIe x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 slot, making the interface speed the deciding specification for compatibility.

The adapter auto-negotiates to the highest speed your switch and cabling support, up to 2.5 Gb/s, and falls back to 1000, 100 or 10 Mb/s as needed.
The Intel I225-V controller delivers up to 2.5 Gb/s over copper, so real-world file transfers can exceed 1 Gb/s when paired with a 2.5G switch and Cat6a or better cable.
The card uses a PCI Express 3.1 x1 lane at 5 GT/s, which provides enough bandwidth to run the 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet port at full line rate.
