Passive cooling keeps noise at zero

No fan is present; the 42 g board dissipates heat through its PCB and bracket. Operating temperature range is 0 to 55 °C. Two LEDs show link and activity status without adding audible or thermal load.

Questions about this item

Does the Vszerda 82574-1T come with both brackets so I can fit it in a standard or low-profile case?

Yes, the package includes the network adapter plus both a full-height and a low-profile metal bracket for standard or slim chassis.

Which speed version should I choose if my switch only runs at 100 Mbps?

The single RJ45 port auto-negotiates 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps, so the card works at 100 Mbps without any extra selection.

Will the advertised 1000 Mbps actually appear on my PCI Express 1.1 x1 slot?

The x1 lane at 2.5 GT/s provides enough bandwidth for full 1000 Mbps throughput in both directions.
