PCIe x1 2.5Gbps RJ45 Adapter

This Vszerda network adapter adds a single 2.5Gbps RJ45 port to a desktop computer through a PCIe x1 slot. It uses the Realtek RTL8125 controller to deliver 2500Mbps wired connectivity for gaming or general networking. The card is designed for users who need faster-than-gigabit Ethernet on a system with an available x1 expansion slot.

Low-Profile Heat Sink Included

A compact heat sink is fitted to the RTL8125 chip to help manage temperatures during sustained traffic. The passive cooler requires no extra power connectors and fits within standard low-profile brackets. Buyers who need multiple ports, fibre connectivity or a different bus interface should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the RTL8125 chip need its heat sink cleaned or replaced over time?

The adapter includes a passive heat sink on the RTL8125 chip; dust can be removed with compressed air, and no replacement is expected during normal service life.

At sustained 2.5Gbps throughput does the PCIe x1 link or the RTL8125 controller hit its limit first?

The PCIe x1 interface provides enough bandwidth for the 2500Mbps rated speed, so the RTL8125 controller defines the ceiling under continuous load.
