What this switch does

This DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch lets one keyboard, mouse and monitor control two computers. It works with Windows, Linux and Mac without drivers or software. Plug the cables in and switch instantly with the front button or the included remote cable.

Resolution and refresh limits

The link supports up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz and can also handle 120 Hz 3D stereo or 240 FPS at lower resolutions. EDID and HDCP handshakes are managed automatically so the display stays stable across different GPUs and operating systems.

Sustained operation

A built-in equalisation circuit keeps the video signal clean during long sessions, preventing the sparkle or drop-outs that appear on lesser cables after extended use. USB peripherals such as printers remain connected while you switch, so print jobs and file transfers are not interrupted.

Questions about this item

What does 7680x4320@60Hz mean for my actual display?

It means the switch can pass an 8K signal at 60 frames per second from either computer to a compatible monitor without downscaling.

How does DisplayPort 1.4 limit what I can run?

The 1.4 link caps the video path at the bandwidth needed for 7680x4320@60Hz or lower resolutions at higher refresh rates such as 240FPS.

What does the unit need to sit on my desk and connect?

It requires two DisplayPort cables from the computers, one DisplayPort cable to the monitor, and a USB power cable for the switch itself.
