Two-computer dual-monitor KVM

This Vszerda KVM switch lets two computers share two HDMI monitors, three USB 3.0 peripherals and separate audio and microphone connections. It supports resolutions up to 4096×2160 at 60 Hz and is backward compatible with lower resolutions. The unit works with Windows, Linux and macOS without extra drivers. Front-panel buttons and a wired remote provide two switching methods.

EDID emulation and display modes

Each input port includes an EDID emulator that stores the monitor’s capability data so both computers always receive correct display information. The switch offers Extended mode for spanning different content across both screens and Copy mode for mirroring the same image on both outputs. Three USB 3.0 ports deliver up to 5 Gbit/s throughput for keyboards, mice, printers or storage devices.

Installation notes and common issues

Connect both HDMI outputs of each computer to the matching IN A and IN B ports, then connect OUT A and OUT B to the corresponding monitors; cross-wiring ports will prevent dual-monitor operation. The wired remote and front buttons switch both computers simultaneously, so independent screen switching is not possible. Audio and microphone jacks pass through the selected computer’s signals automatically.
