Four-computer dual-monitor KVM

This Vszerda KVM switch lets four desktops or laptops share one keyboard, one mouse and two DisplayPort monitors. Each connected system must support dual-display output to use both screens. The unit adds three USB 3.0 ports and a separate microphone output for shared peripherals.

DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth limits

The switch passes DisplayPort 1.4 signals at up to 32.4 Gbps, enabling 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It remains backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 sources. USB 3.0 peripheral ports run at 5 Gbps, while USB 2.0 devices fall back to 480 Mbps.

Cabling and host requirements

Every computer needs its own DisplayPort cable and a USB cable to reach the KVM; cables are not supplied. Both monitors also need DisplayPort cables to the output ports. Verify that each host can drive two displays simultaneously, otherwise only a single-mirrored image will appear.

Questions about this item

Should I pick this four-port model or look for a two-port version if I only have two computers?

This unit handles up to four computers sharing two monitors and three USB 3.0 devices; if you only need to switch between two PCs a smaller switch will cost less and take up less desk space.

What does the 8K@60Hz rating mean when I connect it to my actual monitors?

The switch passes DisplayPort 1.4 signals up to 32.4 Gbps, so each monitor can run 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz provided your graphics cards and cables also support those modes.

How does the DisplayPort 1.4 interface limit what I can run on both screens?

DP 1.4 caps total bandwidth at 32.4 Gbps, enabling dual 8K@60Hz or dual 4K@144Hz streams; higher resolutions or refresh rates would exceed the link and are not supported.
