  • Five couplers extend cable runs without rewiring

  • Compatible with Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 Ethernet cables
  • UTP construction supports voice, data, audio and video signals
  • Inline female-to-female connection joins two cables instantly

Five-port coupler pack

This five-pack of Cat5e keystone couplers joins two RJ45 cables inside a standard wall plate or patch panel. Each unit snaps into a universal keystone cut-out without tools. The couplers accept Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 cables for voice, data or AV runs. They suit home offices, small-business networks and residential installs.

Extends existing drops

The couplers replace inline splice blocks or gender changers that occupy extra space behind a faceplate. A snap-in keystone is worth the swap when a cable run falls short of a device and re-pulling is impractical. They also upgrade loose RJ45 barrels that can work loose in high-vibration areas.

Fits standard keystone openings

Each coupler requires a standard keystone aperture in a wall plate, surface-mount box or patch panel. No power, grounding or active electronics are needed. The pass-through design frees up depth behind the plate because no extra cable bend radius is required beyond the keystone thickness. 45

Questions about this item

Will these keystone couplers snap into a standard keystone wall plate or patch panel?

Yes, they fit all standard keystone wall plates and panels with a snap-in latch.

Do I need a punch-down tool to install these couplers, or do cables plug straight in?

No tool is required — each side accepts an RJ45 plug directly, so you simply insert both cables into the female ports.

Can I reuse the same coupler if I later rewire the room with Cat6 cable?

The coupler works with Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 cables, so it can stay in place when you upgrade the cabling.
