Vszerda 65W USB-C PD Trigger Cable

This Vszerda cable converts a USB-C Power Delivery source into the 11.0 x 4.5 mm rectangular connector used by compatible ThinkPad X1 Carbon models. It carries a 65W power rating and measures 1.5 metres in length. The integrated PD trigger negotiates the required voltage automatically.

Thermals noise and power draw

The cable itself generates no audible noise and remains passive during operation. It draws only the power negotiated with the PD source up to the 65W limit. No active cooling or fan is present in the assembly.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 11.0x4.5mm rectangular plug to my ThinkPad X1 Carbon, and what step is often missed?

Insert the rectangular 11.0x4.5mm plug fully into the laptop's power port until it clicks; the step often missed is using a USB-C PD charger that actually delivers 65W, otherwise the cable's trigger will not activate.

What maintenance or replacement will the 1.5m cable need over time?

Inspect the 1.5m cable jacket and both connectors periodically for fraying or bent pins; replace the cable if the USB-C end no longer seats firmly or the rectangular plug shows wear that prevents a solid connection.
