Four-computer KVM switch shares dual monitors at up to 8K 60 Hz via DP 1.4, three USB 3.0 ports at 5 Gbps, push-button and wired remote switching, and audio output
This 4-in 2-out DisplayPort KVM switch lets you control four computers with one keyboard, one mouse and either one or two monitors. It supports DP 1.4 with a maximum resolution of 8K at 60 Hz and is backward compatible with DP 1.2. Three USB 3.0 ports share peripherals such as printers or scanners at up to 5 Gbps, while audio and microphone outputs are also provided.
Ideal for users who run four systems — Windows, Linux, Mac or other major OS — and want to toggle between them via front-panel buttons or a wired remote. Not suited for setups with only one computer, for installations that require more than four DP inputs, or for buyers whose graphics cards, monitors and cables cannot all support 8K at 60 Hz. The switch also works with DP-only devices such as DVRs or NVRs that have no USB signal.
The single specification that decides fit is the 8K@60Hz ceiling on each DisplayPort 1.4 link; every source, cable and display in the chain must meet that level to reach the top resolution. If any component stops at 4K or lower, the switch will still operate at the highest common mode, but the 8K headline cannot be achieved.

The DP 1.4 interface supports a maximum resolution of 8K at 60 Hz, with downward compatibility to DP 1.2 for lower resolutions such as 4K at 60 Hz.
The unit requires four DisplayPort and USB cables from the computers, two DisplayPort cables to the monitors, three USB 3.0 peripherals, and an audio microphone output; all ports face the rear to keep the desktop tidy.
Connect each computer with a DisplayPort and USB cable, attach two monitors and USB devices to the rear ports, power the unit, then use the front button or wired remote to switch; the common mistake is forgetting that dual-monitor output only works when the source computer itself supports dual display.
