What this adapter does

The Vszerda CD0599 adds an HDMI output to any computer with a spare USB 3.0 Type-A port using a DisplayLink chip. It suits office workers, students and presenters who need a second screen for spreadsheets, slides or video playback on a monitor, projector or TV.

Resolution and bandwidth limits

HDMI output reaches 1920x1080P and can push up to 2560x1440 when the attached display supports it, delivered through 1.65Gbps bandwidth at 165MHz with 24-bit colour depth. Both mirror and extend desktop modes are available so the extra screen can duplicate or expand the primary workspace.

Thermals noise and power

The compact black dongle measures 9.5 in by 6.5 in by .5 in and weighs .01 kg, drawing all power from the USB 3.0 connection without an external supply. Passive cooling keeps it silent during typical office use, and the low current draw stays well within standard USB port limits.
