What this adapter replaces

This is a 180W AC power adapter that delivers 19.5V at 9.23A through a 5.5 x 2.5 mm barrel connector. It is built to replace Chicony part A17-180P4A and compatible part numbers including A15-180P1A and ADP-180MB K. The unit carries CE certification and ships with a detachable mains cord.

Installation and common issues

The adapter accepts 100-240V input at 50-60Hz, so it works on mains supplies worldwide when paired with the correct cord. Installation is limited to plugging the barrel tip into the laptop and the cord into the wall outlet. The most frequent problem is ordering a tip size that does not match the laptop's DC jack; verify the 5.5 x 2.5 mm dimensions before purchase.

Who should buy this and who should not

This unit suits owners of listed CLEVO P950HR, N850HP6, N870HP6 and MSI GS63VR, GE72VR, GS65 models that require exactly 180W at 19.5V. Buyers whose laptops demand a different voltage, a higher wattage or a proprietary connector other than the 5.5 x 2.5 mm barrel should look at another adapter.
