Splits one DisplayPort 1.4 source to HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, supporting 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz with MST extended and SST mirror modes
This DisplayPort 1.4 MST hub splits a single source into two displays using HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. It suits professionals who need extended desktops for digital signage, conference rooms or multi-tasking workstations. The hub works with Windows, macOS and Android systems that support MST. Buyers whose graphics hardware lacks MST capability cannot use the extended mode.
The unit draws power from an included USB cable and has no fan, so it runs silently in normal use. Power consumption stays low because the hub only re-clocks and routes the DisplayPort 1.4 signal. No thermal throttling or audible noise occurs during extended operation. Ensure a reliable USB power source is available at the installation point.
The single specification that decides fit is the 8K 30 Hz ceiling on the DisplayPort output; higher refresh rates at 8K are not supported. At 4K the hub reaches 120 Hz, while 1440p allows up to 165 Hz on the DisplayPort leg only. HDMI output is limited to 60 Hz at 1440p and above. Choose this hub only if your target resolution and refresh rate fall within those limits.

Connect the hub to your computer's DisplayPort 1.4 output, attach one monitor via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort, then plug the supplied USB power cable into a USB port or charger; the hub will not function without this external power.
No routine maintenance is required; only the USB power cable or the DisplayPort and HDMI cables may need replacement if they become damaged or if you upgrade to longer cables.
The HDMI output cannot deliver 1440P at 165 Hz or 144 Hz, so extended desktop at those rates is limited to the DisplayPort output while the HDMI port tops out at 120 Hz.
