VESA-certified DP80 cable delivers 80Gbps bandwidth for 16K@60Hz, 8K@120Hz and 4K@240Hz gaming with HDR and VRR support
This DisplayPort 2.1 cable carries VESA DP80 certification and delivers 80Gbps bandwidth. It targets enthusiasts running the latest graphics cards and high-refresh monitors who need guaranteed signal integrity at extreme resolutions. The plug-and-play design works with any device offering a standard DP port. It is not for buyers who only need 4K at 60Hz or lower bandwidth requirements.
The single specification that decides fit is the certified 80Gbps throughput. It supports uncompressed 4K at 240Hz, 8K at 60Hz and 2K at 540Hz. With DSC 1.2a enabled it reaches 16K at 60Hz, 8K at 240Hz and 4K up to 960Hz. HBR20, HDR, HDCP 2.2, VRR, FEC and ALLM are also supported. If your display or GPU cannot use these rates, the extra headroom provides no benefit.
Installation is straightforward: connect the gold-plated connectors to matching DP ports on both ends. The 28AWG tinned copper conductors and triple shielding maintain signal quality, but excessive bending near the plugs can damage the internal wires. Ensure both source and monitor implement DisplayPort 2.1 or 2.0 to unlock the full 80Gbps capability; older ports will fall back to lower speeds.

The 80Gbps DP80 link drives uncompressed 4K at 240Hz, 8K at 60Hz and 2K at 540Hz, and with DSC 1.2a enabled it reaches 16K at 60Hz, 8K at 240Hz and 4K up to 960Hz.
The cable is VESA-certified to the DP80 tier of the DisplayPort 2.1 specification, so the 80Gbps ceiling is enforced by that DP 2.1 DP80 certification.
It uses 28AWG tinned copper conductors, triple shielding and 24K gold-plated connectors in a plug-and-play design that mates with any standard DisplayPort port.
