Vszerda DisplayPort EDID Emulator

The Vszerda DisplayPort EDID emulator is a dummy plug that reports a connected display to the graphics card. It enables GPU operation on headless systems without a physical monitor attached. The pack contains three plugs for multi-port or spare use. It suits servers, mining rigs and remote desktops needing constant GPU availability.

Ideal for headless servers and remote access

This plug serves administrators who run headless Windows, Linux or macOS machines and need high-resolution remote desktop sessions. It also supports cryptocurrency mining and simulation workloads that require an active GPU. Buyers who need audio pass-through or a physical video output for a local monitor should look at a different solution.

2560×1600 at 60 Hz maximum reported resolution

The emulator advertises 2560×1600 at 60 Hz and 4096×2160 at 17 Hz to the operating system. Remote sessions can therefore use up to 2560×1600 at 60 Hz. If your workflow requires higher refresh rates at 4K, this plug will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the Vszerda DisplayPort emulator work with my older graphics card that only supports 1920x1080 at 60Hz?

Yes, the emulator supports 1920x1080 at 60Hz and acts exactly like a real monitor, so any card driving a standard display will recognise it.

How can I confirm the dummy plug is delivering 2560x1600 at 60Hz after I install it?

The operating system will list 2560x1600 at 60Hz as an available resolution once the EDID is read, and remote desktop will run at that setting.

Does the 3-pack include the full-size DisplayPort adapters or must I buy them separately?

Each pack contains three emulator plugs; the supplier notes an adapter for full-size DisplayPort is included.
