Connects a DisplayPort source to a DVI display up to 1920x1080@60Hz with a secure latching connector
This Vszerda adapter lets you connect a computer, laptop or other device that has a DisplayPort output to a monitor, projector or HDTV that accepts a DVI input. The unit is a male-to-female converter, so a separate DVI cable is required to complete the link. It is built for uni-directional use only and cannot pass a signal from a DVI source to a DisplayPort display. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and help maintain signal quality over time.
The adapter adds a DVI port to any system with a free DisplayPort socket without needing drivers or external power. Its latch-equipped DisplayPort plug locks securely, reducing the chance of accidental disconnects in busy workstations or conference-room setups. Because the conversion is handled by an onboard IC chip, the host simply sees a standard display and the user gains access to legacy DVI screens without replacing the graphics card or the monitor.
The built-in chip translates the DisplayPort stream to single-link DVI, supporting resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz along with 1600x1200, 1280x1024 and 720p modes. No fan or active cooling is present, so the adapter runs silently and draws only the small amount of power supplied by the DisplayPort port itself. The compact black housing adds negligible bulk behind the computer, keeping cable routing tidy in tight spaces.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The adapter supports up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz and lower resolutions such as 1600x1200 and 1280x1024.
It is a passive, unidirectional converter with a built-in IC chip and no external power requirement, so heat and power draw remain minimal.
A separate DVI cable is required because the adapter provides only a DVI female port for the monitor side.
