A 6 ft DisplayPort to DVI cable supports 1920x1080@60Hz video with gold-plated connectors and a latched DisplayPort end for a secure link
This six-foot male-to-male cable carries video from a DisplayPort output on a desktop, laptop or graphics card to a DVI-D input on a monitor, projector or HDTV. An integrated active converter chip translates the signal in one direction only, from DisplayPort to DVI. Gold-plated connectors and bare copper conductors preserve signal integrity, while a latched DisplayPort plug with a release button prevents accidental disconnection.
The cable supports up to 1920×1200 at 60 Hz and 2048×1152 at 60 Hz, covering Full HD and common PC graphics modes. It does not transmit from a DVI source to a DisplayPort screen, so buyers needing bi-directional conversion or resolutions beyond 1080p should choose a different adapter. Extended and mirror display modes are both available for multitasking or presentation use.
Confirm the graphics card or laptop provides a standard DisplayPort output, not Mini DisplayPort or USB-C alt-mode, because the connector is full-size. Ensure the target monitor, projector or TV has a DVI-D dual-link compatible input; DVI-A or DVI-I analogue-only ports will not work. No external power is required, but the DisplayPort latch must be depressed before unplugging to avoid port damage.
