Passive adapter connects a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display at up to 1920x1080 resolution
The Vszerda DisplayPort to HDMI passive adapter connects a DP++ equipped computer to an HDMI monitor, projector or HDTV. It supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 and carries audio for extended or mirrored desktop configurations. A separate HDMI cable is required to complete the link. Buyers whose source lacks Dual-Mode DisplayPort output cannot use this adapter.
Gold plated contacts on the compact connector resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity during daily plugging and unplugging. The passive design draws no external power and adds no bulk between the DisplayPort output and the HDMI cable. The short dongle format keeps strain off the source port in tight desktop or laptop layouts.
This adapter replaces an active converter when the graphics card or laptop already provides a DP++ signal, saving cost and eliminating a power brick. It upgrades a VGA or DVI connection to digital HDMI with audio support at 1080p. The jump is worth it when the display only offers HDMI input and the source supports Dual-Mode DisplayPort.

The adapter supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 (1080P) when connecting a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display.
The source must provide a Dual-Mode DisplayPort (DP++) output; a standard DisplayPort-only port will not carry the HDMI signal.
Plug the DisplayPort end into the DP++ source, connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to the display, then configure the monitor for extended or mirrored mode in the OS display settings.
