Ten-adapter pack for DisplayPort sources

This pack supplies ten DisplayPort male to VGA female adapters so multiple workstations or classrooms can connect modern laptops or desktops to legacy monitors, projectors or HDTVs. Each unit contains an active IC that converts the digital DisplayPort signal to analogue VGA without requiring external power. The adapters are unidirectional and will not pass a VGA source to a DisplayPort display. They suit IT teams standardising on a single spare-part SKU.

Gold-plated connectors with latch retention

The DisplayPort plug features gold-plated pins that resist corrosion and a latch mechanism that locks the connector until the release button is pressed. Molded strain relief at the junction protects the internal wiring from repeated insertion cycles. The VGA end accepts a standard VGA cable secured by thumbscrews. Compact moulding keeps the dongle short enough to sit side-by-side on dense I/O panels.

Passive thermal profile with no fan noise

Because the conversion chip draws minimal power from the DisplayPort source, the adapter runs without a fan and adds no audible noise to the system. Power consumption stays within the DisplayPort specification so no separate supply is needed. The assembly supports video timings up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz and also handles 720p signals for older projectors.
