Adds two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports via PCIe with low-profile bracket included
This PCIe network card adds two RJ45 ports running at 10, 100, 1000 or 25000 megabits per second. It suits desktop, workstation or server builds that need wired throughput beyond standard gigabit. The card fits any PCI Express x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 socket and works with Windows, Linux and older Mac Pro towers. Buyers who need fibre connectivity or more than two ports should look elsewhere.
A 12 cm full-height bracket is fitted and an 8 cm low-profile bracket is supplied for compact cases. The board measures 4.2 in by 5.5 in and draws power from the slot alone. No extra cables or external power are required. Builders with cases that cannot accept either bracket height will not be able to install the card.
The Realtek controller maintains 2.5 gigabit links under continuous load thanks to IEEE 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3ab compliance and 802.1Q VLAN tagging. Driver discs are provided for legacy operating systems back to Windows 98SE. Environments that demand 10 gigabit or higher sustained rates will exceed the card's rated speed.

Each port runs at 2.5 Gigabit, so combined throughput stays within a single PCIe lane; the card fits x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 slots.
The adapter has no onboard fan and draws power only from the PCIe slot, so it adds negligible heat and no audible noise.
A free PCI Express slot (x1 or larger) and a supported OS such as Windows 10, 8/8.1, 7, Vista, XP, 2000, 98SE, ME or Linux.
