Dual-band Wi-Fi antenna with 6 dBi gain

This Vszerda antenna covers 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands with a 6 dBi omni-directional pattern. It connects through a pair of 6.5 ft RP-SMA cables and a magnetic base for flexible placement. The 50 ohm impedance suits standard Wi-Fi equipment. It is sold new and supports 802.11 b/g/n/ac networks.

Suits users extending Wi-Fi range on routers.

The magnetic stand and long cables let you position the antenna for better signal on a PCIe card, USB adapter, router or hotspot. It also works with wireless security cameras and FPV goggles or drones. Buyers who need a directional high-gain array or an integrated MIMO panel should look at other designs.

6 dBi omni gain on dual-band frequencies

The 6 dBi gain figure determines how much the antenna concentrates signal compared with a basic dipole. If your installation needs stronger focus in one direction or lower profile mounting, this omni unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Which gain option should I pick for my dual-band router?

This model offers a single 6 dBi gain rating that applies to both the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands, so there is no alternative gain version to select.

How does the 6 dBi gain perform once the antenna is connected to my WiFi card?

The 6 dBi omni-directional gain concentrates signal horizontally, improving range and stability for 802.11 b/g/n/ac links compared with typical stock antennas.

What does the RP-SMA connector limit in practice?

The RP-SMA male plug fits only RP-SMA female ports found on PCIe WiFi cards, USB adapters, routers and hotspots; it will not mate with standard SMA sockets.
