Dual-monitor DP 1.4 KVM for two PCs

This DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch lets two computers share one keyboard, mouse and dual monitors. It supports mirrored or extended desktop modes for home office, gaming or streaming setups. Four integrated USB 3.0 ports handle peripherals at up to 5Gbps. A wired remote and front-panel buttons give two ways to change the active system.

Check your video outputs and power needs

Each computer must provide two DisplayPort signals; if a source only has HDMI or USB-C you will need active converters. The switch handles up to 8K at 30Hz, 4K at 144Hz and 1920x1080 at 144Hz, but the final resolution depends on the graphics card, monitor and cables used. High-power USB devices such as hard drives or SSDs require the external 5V adapter.

Suits dual-screen workflows.

Ideal for operators who need simultaneous extended desktops across two displays from either PC. Buyers with only one monitor or without DisplayPort outputs on both machines should look elsewhere. Gamers wanting higher than 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 30Hz will not be satisfied by the supported refresh-rate ceiling.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the cables needed to connect two PCs and two monitors, or do I need to buy them separately?

The package contains four cables so both computers and both monitors can be connected straight away.

Which resolution and refresh-rate combination should I pick if my graphics card and monitors support 4K at 144 Hz?

Select the 4K@144Hz mode; the switch handles 8K@30Hz, 4K@144Hz, 4K@120Hz, 2K@144Hz and 1080P@144Hz depending on what the rest of your chain supports.

What does the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 rating mean when I plug in a keyboard, mouse and external SSD?

The four USB 3.0 ports share a 5 Gbps bandwidth pool, so the SSD will run at up to that speed while the keyboard and mouse use negligible throughput.
