A+E Key to M-Key NVMe Adapter
This Vszerda adapter connects an M.2 2230 A+E-key slot to an NVMe M-key SSD. It targets laptop owners who want to add NVMe storage through an existing wireless module socket. The board includes two PCBA pieces and a mounting bracket for secure installation. It is a new component sold without an SSD.
PCIe 4.0 Support and Key Compatibility
The adapter carries a PCIe 4.0 link rated for up to 64 Gbps NVMe data transfer. It accepts M-key NVMe modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. SATA B+M-key drives, PCIe AHCI SSDs, Wi-Fi cards, capture cards and mSATA devices are explicitly not supported. Windows 8, 10 and 11 are listed as compatible operating systems.
Length Headroom and Interface Limits
The bracket allows M-key SSDs up to 2280 to sit clear of the laptop chassis. Builders needing SATA protocol drives or PCIe add-in cards such as Wi-Fi or capture devices cannot use this adapter. The A+E host slot supplies only PCIe and USB lanes, so non-NVMe M-key devices will not function.

Questions about this item
Will the A+E-key slot or the M-key connector wear out after repeated SSD swaps?
The adapter uses two PCBAs with gold-plated contacts rated for standard M.2 insertion cycles; no scheduled replacement is required under normal use.
What limits sustained throughput when an NVMe drive runs continuously through this adapter?
The PCIe 4.0 x2 link caps the data rate at 64 Gbps, so the bus bandwidth is the first bottleneck under heavy load.
Does the bracket or the flex cable add noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day operation?
The passive design has no active cooling; the adapter itself draws negligible power, so system thermals depend only on the installed SSD.
