A+E to M-Key NVMe Adapter
This adapter connects an M.2 Key M NVMe SSD to a laptop's Key A+E slot. It targets users who need extra NVMe storage but only have a wireless-card socket available. The kit includes two small PCBA boards linked by a flat green FPC cable. It is a new component for internal laptop upgrades.
PCIe Lane and Key Constraints
The Key A+E interface supplies PCIe and USB lanes intended for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth modules. Only the PCIe lanes carry NVMe traffic, so the adapter cannot support B/M-key SATA SSDs. Windows 8, 10 and 11 recognise the connected drive without extra drivers. The flat cable limits placement to the space between the A+E slot and the SSD.
Supported Lengths and Headroom
The adapter accepts M-key NVMe cards in 2230, 2240, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. Longer 2280 drives fit electrically but may exceed the physical clearance inside thin laptops. Builders needing SATA protocol or a second NVMe slot must use a different solution.

Questions about this item
Which M.2 lengths does the EP-043-CA-NG cable support on the M-key side?
The adapter accepts NVMe M-key SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors, so you can choose the length that fits your drive.
What does the 11 cm cable length mean for routing inside a laptop?
At 11 cm the flat FPC gives enough slack to reach from the A+E slot to a nearby SSD bay without stressing the connectors.
Does the A+E-key interface limit the SSD to SATA speeds?
No, the A+E slot carries PCIe lanes, so the cable passes PCIe NVMe signals and does not fall back to SATA.
