Connects USB-C devices to DisplayPort displays at up to 8K 60 Hz, 4K 144 Hz or 2K 240 Hz with HDR and 32.4 Gbps bandwidth
This 6 ft active cable connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 source that supports DP Alt Mode to a DisplayPort display. It carries video and audio for mirror or extend modes and handles Multi-Stream Transport for daisy-chained monitors. Compatible with recent MacBook, XPS, Surface and Galaxy devices listed by the supplier.
The link tops out at 32.4 Gbps, enabling 8K at 60 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz or 120 Hz, and 2K at 240 Hz. HDR is supported within these limits. The host port must implement DP Alt Mode; a plain USB-C data port will not drive a display.
The single deciding spec is the DisplayPort 1.4 active conversion rated for 32.4 Gbps. If your source and sink both meet that standard you get the full resolution and refresh range; if either side is limited to an older DP version the cable will fall back to lower modes.

The supplier lists the fx-804 as a single 6FT cable with the full 32.4Gbps bandwidth and no alternative lengths or models mentioned.
8K at 60Hz requires the host USB-C port to support DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode with DSC; the 2020 MacBook Pro meets that requirement, so the cable can deliver the full resolution.
The cable is built to the DisplayPort 1.4 spec with a 32.4Gbps ceiling; Thunderbolt 3/4 ports accept it, but the link speed stays at the DisplayPort maximum.
