HDMI KVM Extender over Cat5e or Cat6

This Vszerda extender transmits a 1080P HDMI signal and USB keyboard and mouse control over a single Ethernet cable. It reaches 50 metres with Cat6 or Cat7 and 40 metres with Cat5e, compliant with HDMI 1.3. Power over cable means only one adapter is required for the complete link.

Installers needing remote display

The kit suits home security, camera monitoring, conference broadcasting and restaurant projection where the source and display are separated by long cable runs. It does not serve users who need 4K resolution, HDMI 2.0 features or transmission beyond the stated distances.

Maximum reach of 50 metres over Cat6

The single specification that decides fit is the distance limit: 50 metres using Cat6 or Cat7 cable and 40 metres using Cat5e. If the installation requires a longer run, this extender will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the single power adapter on the transmitter side ever need replacement during long-term use?

The kit uses power-over-cable so only the transmitter requires an external adapter; if that adapter fails it can be swapped without replacing the extender units.

What distance limit appears first when running 1080p video continuously over Cat5e cable?

Cat5e cable caps the link at 40 metres, so that length restriction is reached before any signal-degradation limit.

How much heat or fan noise do the transmitter and receiver produce when powered all day?

Both units are passively cooled with no fans, so they run silently and generate only modest warmth during continuous operation.
