Extension cable for USB-C devices

This one-metre male-to-female cable extends a USB-C connection while carrying power, data and video. It suits users who need to route a connection around a desk or through a tight chassis without stressing the host port.

20 Gbps data and 140 W power headroom

The link moves files at up to 20 Gbps and delivers up to 140 W at 28 V or 100 W at 20 V, so a laptop can charge while driving an external display. Bandwidth runs out when a single 8K 60 Hz stream fills the pipe, and power caps at the rated voltage and current limits.

DP Alternate Mode is required for video

An 8K 60 Hz, 5K 60 Hz or 4K 60 Hz picture only appears when the monitor’s USB-C input supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode; without it the cable carries only data and power.

Questions about this item

Will the 20Gbps USB4 cable work with my older USB-C laptop and dock?

The cable is backward compatible with USB-C devices and supports data transfer up to 20Gbps, video output up to 8K at 60Hz, and power delivery up to 140W, so it will function with older USB-C laptops and docks that support these standards.

How can I verify the cable is delivering 8K video at 60Hz after connecting it?

Check your display settings to confirm the external monitor is running at 8K resolution and 60Hz refresh rate; ensure the monitor's USB-C port supports DP Alternate Mode for video, as required for this output.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a separate power adapter?

The package includes the 1m USB-C male-to-female extension cable; no separate power adapter is included, but the cable supports up to 140W power delivery using your existing USB-C charger.
