PoE Splitter for Micro USB Devices

This active splitter converts 802.3af Power over Ethernet to a 5V 2.4A Micro USB output, delivering up to 12 watts. It is designed for tablets, Dropcam units and Raspberry Pi 2 or 3B+ boards that require Micro USB power. An 802.3af PoE switch or 48V injector is required to supply the input voltage.

12-Watt Capacity and 100-150m Reach

The unit accepts 44-57V DC input with overvoltage protection and provides a steady 5V 2.4A stream for compatible low-power devices. Power travels over standard Ethernet cable up to 328-492ft (100-150m) from the source. Devices drawing more than 12 watts or requiring a different connector will exceed the splitter's rating.

Micro USB Output Connector

The sole power output is a Micro USB plug, fixing the physical interface for the target device. Builders needing USB-C, barrel jack or bare-wire connections must use a different adapter. The splitter is limited to 100 Mbps Ethernet passthrough; gigabit PoE switches require the separate U515902 model.
