Adds an M-key NVMe SSD to a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot with low-profile bracket and LED status
This Vszerda adapter adds an M.2 M-key NVMe SSD slot to a desktop PC through a PCI Express 3.0 x4 connection. It suits builders upgrading older systems or adding fast storage where no native M.2 socket exists. The card works with Windows 10, 8.x and 7 without extra drivers. MacBook computers are not supported.
Both mounting brackets ship in the box so the card fits standard towers and slim chassis alike. Multiple onboard holes accept 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 length drives. Built-in LEDs show power and data activity at a glance. The adapter converts the physical interface only; drive speed is unchanged.
Only M-key NVMe SSDs work; B-key PCIe or SATA drives will not fit or function. The card plugs into x4, x8 or x16 slots and is backward compatible with PCIe 1.0 and 2.0. Systems released before 2015 may lack NVMe boot capability; verify with your system vendor before ordering.

The adapter runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds and is backward compatible with PCIe 1.0 and 2.0 slots, so the SSD will operate at the speed allowed by the slot used.
The card provides mounting holes for 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 M-key NVME SSDs; B-key and SATA drives are not supported.
Swap the full-height bracket for the low-profile one using the supplied screws, then insert the card into a PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot and secure the bracket to the chassis.
