This PCIe add-on card converts an M-Key NVMe M.2 slot into an SFF-8643 Mini SAS connector. It enables a 2.5 inch U.2 SSD with an SFF-8639 interface to connect through a Mini SAS cable that must be sourced separately. The card supports PCIe 4.0 and is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0. Data transfer rates reach up to 64 GT/s.

PCIe 4.0 M-Key slot determines fit

The adapter installs into an M.2 2260 or 2280 M-Key slot wired for NVMe PCIe signalling. That slot must be present on the host board for the card to function. Without an M-Key NVMe slot accepting those lengths, the adapter cannot be used.
