Vszerda Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 to SFF-8087 cable 0.5m
Connects 12 Gbps SAS controllers to 36-pin backplanes using 30 AWG twin-axial cable over 0.5 m
- 12 Gbps throughput for SAS 3.0 and 2.1 links
- 5 m length keeps server chassis routing tidy
- SFF-8643 host to SFF-8087 target connects modern to legacy gear
- AWG 30 twin-axial construction enables high-speed signal integrity
- Supports SAS and SATA HBA, RAID and direct-attached storage
Internal 12 Gbps SAS cable
This 0.5 m internal cable connects a Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 host port to a Mini SAS SFF-8087 target port. It supports 12 Gbps data rates and complies with SAS 2.1 and SAS 3.0 specifications. The 30 AWG twin-axial construction keeps the assembly thin and flexible for tight server chassis. Two cables are included in the pack.
Suits dense server and RAID builds
It fits administrators wiring SAS or SATA HBAs to backplanes or direct-attached storage where a short, high-speed internal link is required. The fixed half-metre length limits use to adjacent devices inside the same enclosure. Installers needing longer reaches, external bulkhead connections or a different pin count must select another cable family.
Connector pair decides fit
The SFF-8643 to SFF-8087 (36-pin) endpoint combination is the single specification that determines whether this cable matches your controller and backplane. Verify both port types before ordering.

Questions about this item
Will the SFF-8643 connector latch wear out with repeated insertions?
The SFF-8643 plug uses a standard latch rated for typical server rack cycles; avoid angled pulls to keep the retention tab intact.
Does the 0.5 m length limit signal integrity at 12 Gbps?
The 0.5 m twin-axial construction meets SAS 3.0 electrical specs, so 12 Gbps runs cleanly at this length.
Does the AWG 30 twin-axial cable get warm during all-day RAID rebuilds?
AWG 30 conductors carry the 12 Gbps SAS current with negligible temperature rise inside a normal chassis airflow.
