Adds ten SATA 3.0 ports via a PCIe x4 slot with ten cables and a low-profile bracket included
The Vszerda PCIe SATA controller card adds ten SATA 3.0 6 Gbps ports to a desktop system through a single PCI Express x4 slot. It targets builders who need to connect many hard drives or SSDs simultaneously for storage arrays or NAS devices. The board uses an 1166+JMB575 chip for broad operating-system compatibility.
The card draws power from the PCIe slot and the ten included SATA cables carry data only, so drive power comes from the system supply. No active cooling is fitted; airflow inside the case handles heat from the controller. Typical throughput reaches 380-450 MB/s in PCIe 2.0 and 200-300 MB/s in PCIe 1.0 slots.
Ten SATA cables and a low-profile bracket ship in the box for immediate installation in small-form-factor chassis. The card does not support RAID or port-multiplier operation without a driver install, and Windows 7 is not recommended due to stability issues. Synology systems recognise only four attached disks.

Insert the card into a PCIe x4, x8, or x16 slot on the motherboard while the computer is fully powered off. A common mistake is inserting it into a legacy PCI slot, which is physically different and will not work.
The ten included SATA 3.0 cables may need replacement if the latch clips break or if repeated hot-swap cycles cause connector wear that leads to intermittent 6.0 Gbps link errors.
The PCIe 2.0 x4 host link caps aggregate throughput at roughly 380–450 MB/s, so that bus ceiling is reached before the individual 6.0 Gbps SATA ports saturate.
