Adds a single gigabit RJ45 port to a desktop via a PCIe x1 slot using an RTL8111H controller
This PCI Express x1 card adds a single RJ45 port for 10/100/1000 Mbps wired networking. It uses the RTL8111H chip and is intended for desktop systems that lack onboard Ethernet or need a second wired link. The low-profile bracket fits standard and slim cases alike.
Installation needs one free PCIe x1 slot and a driver supported by the operating system. The adapter provides a standard Gigabit Ethernet connection without occupying a USB port. It does not supply Power over Ethernet, wireless capability or multi-gigabit speeds.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The card uses a single PCIe x1 lane which provides more bandwidth than the 1000 Mbps Ethernet limit, so the port saturates first.
The RTL8111H is a low-power controller that operates without a heatsink or fan; it stays cool during continuous 1000 Mbps traffic.
