Adds two SATA 3.0 ports via a PCIe x1 slot using a Marvell 88SE9125 controller with a large heatsink
This Vszerda add-on card uses the Marvell 88SE9125 controller to provide two SATA 3.0 ports through a single PCI-Express x1 slot. It suits owners of desktop PCs who need extra internal drive connections for storage upgrades or data migration. The card fits any compatible PCI-E x2, x4, x8 or x16 slot and works with Windows XP through Windows 10 and Linux systems.
A large heatsink covers the main chip to support safe operation during long sessions. The board exposes two standard SATA 3.0 interfaces that accept 6.0, 3.0 and 1.5 Gbps drives and handle hot-swap insertion without a shutdown. The controller runs in AHCI 1.0 or IDE mode and supports native command queueing and FIS-based port multiplier switches for flexible drive management.
Passive cooling from the heatsink keeps the Marvell 88SE9125 at safe temperatures without adding fan noise to the system. The PCI-Express 2.0 x1 host interface limits peak bandwidth to the lane speed, so the card draws modest power from the slot during normal file transfers and backup workloads.

The card uses a PCI-Express v2.0 x1 slot, compatible with x2, x4, x8 and x16 slots. Each SATA 3.0 port runs at up to 6.0 Gbps, with backward compatibility to 3.0 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps.
It requires a PCI-Express x1 slot (also fits x2, x4, x8, x16). The board includes a large heatsink, so verify adjacent-slot clearance before installing.
Power off the PC, insert the card into a free PCI-Express x1 slot, connect SATA drives, then boot. On Windows, ensure the controller is set to AHCI mode in Device Manager or BIOS; otherwise the drives may not appear.
