Vszerda SK1 M.2 NVMe adapter
The Vszerda SK1 converts a free PCIe X1 slot into an M.2 Key M socket for NVMe SSDs. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors and supports PCIe 4.0, 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 protocols. Maximum throughput is limited to PCIe X1 bandwidth. The card is supplied with a 12cm bracket and mounting hardware.
Check your motherboard and drive before ordering
You need an available PCIe X1 slot and an M.2 NVMe or AHCI SSD; SATA M.2 drives are not supported. The SSD must be initialized and formatted in the operating system before it appears. Some older motherboards cannot boot from this adapter, so the drive may be restricted to storage use only.
Thermals noise and power in normal use
The adapter is a passive circuit board with no fan or active cooling components, so it adds no audible noise. Power draw comes solely from the installed NVMe SSD and the PCIe X1 slot. Operating temperatures will follow the SSD specifications and the airflow inside your case.

Questions about this item
What comes in the box and do I need to buy anything else?
The package includes a 12 cm regular-profile bracket, standoffs for 2230/2242/2260/2280 SSDs and an M.2 screw. You only need to supply an M.2 NVMe SSD.
Which SSD lengths and protocols does this adapter accept?
It fits 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 M.2 NVMe/AHCI drives. M.2 SATA SSDs are not supported.
What real-world speed should I expect from a PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive in the X1 slot?
The slot is limited to PCIe X1 bandwidth, so a PCIe 4.0 drive will not reach its full X4 speed.
