What this adapter does
The Vszerda U2-128+UC-022 converts a single motherboard USB 2.0 header into two vertical USB 3.1 Type E front-panel headers. It plugs directly into the 9-pin or 10-pin USB 2.0 connector on the board and requires no extra brackets or cables. The copper construction carries signals for the front-panel ports on a desktop case.
Sustained transfer behaviour
The link runs at the USB 2.0 electrical rate of 480 Mbit/s, so any device attached to the new USB 3.1 headers will be limited to that bandwidth under continuous load. The adapter does not increase the signalling speed of the original header; it only changes the physical connector type.
Check before ordering
Verify that your motherboard has a free standard USB 2.0 front-panel header (9-pin or 10-pin) and that your case front panel uses the USB 3.1 Type E header style. The adapter will not work with internal USB 3.0/3.1 19-pin headers, nor does it add USB 3.1 signalling capability where only USB 2.0 exists.

Questions about this item
Does the adapter generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when left connected to the USB 2.0 header all day?
It is a passive copper cable and adapter with no active electronics, so it adds no measurable heat or power draw beyond the devices you plug into the USB 3.1 headers.
What must my motherboard already have for this adapter to work?
Your motherboard needs a free internal USB 2.0 header (9-pin or 10-pin) to accept the adapter's plug-in connector.
Will the USB 3.1 front-panel ports on my older case run at full speed through this adapter?
No — the link is limited to the USB 2.0 header's 480 Mbit/s bandwidth, so connected devices operate at USB 2.0 speeds despite the USB 3.1 header form factor.
