Internal header extender
This Vszerda cable extends a motherboard USB 3.0 20-pin header by 1.64ft. It is for builders who need to route the front-panel USB connector around large coolers or to a repositioned bracket. The male-to-male layout connects the board header directly to the case cable without adapters.
Backward-compatible signalling
The cable carries USB 3.0 signals at up to 5Gbps and falls back to USB 2.0 and 1.1 speeds when older ports are used. Plug-and-play operation is supported on Windows 2003, 2007, XP, Vista, WIN7 and WIN8 with no driver installation required.
Header gender match
Both ends are 20-pin male headers, so the extender only works when the motherboard header and the case cable are both female. Builders with a male-ended case cable or a 19-pin header cannot use this part.

Questions about this item
Will the 20-pin header connectors on this cable need replacing after repeated insertions?
The 20-pin male headers are solid metal pins rated for standard motherboard header cycles; no scheduled replacement is expected under normal internal use.
What limits the 5 Gbps transfer rate during sustained large-file copies?
The 1.64 ft length keeps signal loss low, so the practical limit is the host controller and attached device throughput, not the cable itself.
Does the cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when left connected all day?
As a passive copper extension it adds no active circuitry, so it produces no measurable heat and draws no power beyond the connected USB device.
