Windows 11 and 10 offer both mirror and extend modes. Windows 8 8.1 7 and macOS 10.15 or newer are limited to clone mode only. MacOS versions 10.12 through 10.14 also run in clone mode only. The adapter does not work with Linux or ChromeOS. Buyers who need extend mode on older Windows or macOS releases should look elsewhere.
